Discipleship

Discipleship
A discipleship section for our website has been developed for those seeking a more disciplined approach to growing in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As incurable God-lovers, we seek to encourage and sharpen one another, as we are humbled by the knowledge of the glorious God in whom “we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28) The goal in providing this is to train up faithful men and women of God and to stir up great and holy affections for the Lord our God. You will also find our blog on the discipleship site.

In-Depth Studies Canada
In-Depth Studies Canada is our theological outreach. This ministry provides another opportunity to grow as a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our desire is to stimulate thinking on significant Biblical issues in order to help encourage men and women to become God-centered, spiritually discerning, mature believers, who are characterized by a passionate love for God and a love for others. In-Depth Studies Canada is a teaching ministry. If you want to check out the opportunities for learning visit the IDS Canada website at www.idscanada.org

Community Groups
-Community groups are one of the primary vehicles through which Grace Fellowship gathers to live life for Jesus in and among the city: knowing culture, loving people, and seeing lives transformed for Jesus through authentic relationships.

It is our purpose to see lives transformed by integrating all areas of life and faith, developing relationships to live out love for Jesus in community, and to see expressions of gifts being used to further the kingdom of God within the city, ultimately manifesting in the salvation of unbelievers.

Community groups meet weekly or bi-weekly and involve conversation, prayer, and discussion for applying the Bible to practical living. Community Groups are an environment for building relationships with one another, which strongly emphasizes challenging one another to drive God’s Word deeply into our lives. Community groups are much more than a Bible study. They are community; a place where we can laugh, cry, work and play together for glory of Jesus.

Community groups are for those who call Grace Fellowship home and for those who are interested in learning more about Jesus. The best way to get connected is to email Murray and he will assist you in finding a group. Times and locations can be found on the calendar page.

You can find more about community groups on our “fellowship” page (near the bottom) or click HERE to go to our Frequently Asked Questions page.

Open Forums
Grace Fellowship will conduct an Open Forum Discipleship Meeting at any location upon request. An Open Forum is a theological forum that is centered around any biblical topic the host chooses. There is plenty of time for interaction and the atmosphere is one of casual give-and-take where discussion is encouraged. These are normally done in a home, but can take place at any location. If you would like to schedule an Open Forum, simply email Murray.

Intern Program
The purpose of Grace Fellowship’s intern program is to teach, train, and test men in the hands-on environment of a local church, in order to prepare and evaluate them for the possibility of future biblical eldership, either with Grace Fellowship or with another church or ministry (e.g., missions).
